Our library at Rocky Lake Jr. High is a centre for learning, community, and social justice.
On these walls, you will find student led artwork, including portraits of Viola Desmond, Terry Fox, Raymond Taavel, Nellie McClung, Jane Goodall, Malala Yousafzai and others. This helps provide inspiration for the type of school community we strive to be. In 2024, students also created a painting for Black Literature Matters. We soon hope to have more for our 2SLGBTQIA+ and Indigenous school communities.
Students here also have access to fiction and non-fiction books in French and English.

I am always looking for book suggestions. If you have any, please let me know and I will do my best to acquire them.
Thank you.

Quote of the day
“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drowned your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs
