Welcome to our library’s digital space! Use the search bar above to search the library’s collection of books. Our site is more than just a catalogue though. It’s a portal dedicated to your reading and information needs at HPJH. Take a look around. There’s a lot to explore. Thanks for Visiting!
Have a question? Want to touch base? Need some help? Send an email to my gnspes or hrce address and I’ll get back to you.
So you want something to read, eh?
This site can help you find options to read online AND hardcopy books that are in our HPJH library collection for you to borrow.

How do I find the books I can hold in my hand?

The search bar at the top lets you search our library collection (see “Tips for searching our school library catalogue” below for help). If you scroll down you’ll see there are also horizontal strips of book covers featuring books that are recently viewed, popular or new.
Your login to reserve a book is your 10 digit student id number and then your name as the password. I’ll get an alert and set the book aside for you when it is available. You can also use this login to look at your current borrowed items. Contact me (Ms. Makmillen) if you want your password changed.

How do I find stuff to read online?

The word “stuff” is used here because online reading options include eBooks, audiobooks and other online content. If you are reading you are READing – doesn’t matter if it’s a website or a more traditional book.
A section below “The HRCE Reads Online” will link you to a few large, online collections of ebooks and audiobooks. There are also more possibilities across this site.
What's New?
New
You can see some of the latest books added to our collection above. Some are still in processing, some are ready to be borrowed, and some are already borrowed! Click a book cover for more details.
See more books that are new here. When page opens, click a list title to open it. You can click "sort by" to arrange a list into the groups and order the books would be in on the library shelves. Stay tuned - more books will be added in the coming weeks.

Tips for searching our school library catalogue
You can search by keyword, title, author and more. Use the drop-down menu to pick.
When your search results appear, you can narrow in on what you want using the menu on the left. For example you can limit your results to what is checked in right now.
The advanced search screen will let you be more specific about what you want.
The kids search screen has lots of pictures and makes looking through your results fun.
Spelling is important! Incorrectly spelled words will impact your search results.
